Although the violin and viola look similar, they differ in size, sound and musical role. The violin is smaller and produces a brighter, higher-pitched tone, making it ideal for playing melodies. It is commonly recommended for children from around 4+ years old, as smaller instrument sizes are available for young beginners. The viola is slightly larger and produces a deeper, warmer and richer sound. It often plays the harmony in orchestras and ensembles, creating depth and balance in the music. Due to its larger size, students typically start learning the viola from around 5+ years old, depending on their physical development. Both instruments develop excellent musical skills, coordination and confidence. If you're unsure which instrument is right for you or your child, our teachers can recommend the most suitable option based on age, physique and musical goals during a trial lesson.

Lesson durations vary depending on the student's age and level, with 30-, 45- and 60-minute options available.
